Departure Information Flying from Gatwick Airport is very straightforward, but time consuming. The BAA require those taking International flights to check in two hours prior to take-off. Check in is by Zones - you must check the Departure monitors for details of your flight this will give the correct zone. North Terminal Departure Area is on the top level. South Terminal Departure Area is on the same level as Arrivals. It is to the left as you enter the main concourse from all normal entrances. The mainline railway station is at the South Terminal with access from the main level. The Transit monorail connects North & South Terminals.
